France: Gay “marriage” law adopted. Resistance will continue.

The French Conseil constitutionnel has decided last Friday that the controversial law legalising same-sex “marriages” is not contrary to the French constitution. This opened the way for President François Hollande to sign the text into law the same day.

Obviously this decision (which rather reveals the deficits of the constitution than proving the legitimacy of the law) is not the last word. It is expected that the political and intellectual fight against this law will continue. The next step is another large manifestation scheduled for Sunday 26 May.

If same-sex “marriages” can be introduced with a narrow parliamentary majority, it can be abolished in the same way. It is also possible to retroactively annul all same-sex “marriages”, given that they are not protected as a human right.
