Abortion advances in Colombia

Excellent piece about the current status of legalized abortion in Colombia. The article is in Spanish, but the following is a translation of an important quote from the article:
“Though hardly anyone has noticed, Colombia has recently become one of the most liberal countries in the world when it comes to its abortion laws. In fact, they have less restrictions on the practice than the United States, England, France or Germany. This is due largely to the fact that, more than a medical procedure, abortion is now considered a human right in Colombia.”
“Sin que muchos lo noten, Colombia es hoy uno de los países más liberales del mundo en aborto, hasta el punto que se tienen menos requisitos para abortar aquí que en Estados Unidos, Inglaterra, Francia o Alemania. Primero, porque más que un procedimiento médico electivo como cualquier otro, ahora es considerado derecho fundamental.”
