Another Abortion Bill Disguised as Women’s Health

Any women’s health bill introduced by the most pro-abortion women in the senate will surely be meant to promulgate abortion –announced yesterday, the bill sponsored by Senators Murray, Boxer and Mikulski is just that.

Fortunately, with a republican controlled senate the “21st Century Women’s Health Act” won’t see the light of day — nonetheless Planned Parenthood’s president Cecile Richards lauded Senator Murray for her efforts in offering a bill that would provide funding for new abortion clinics, further fund existing abortion clinics, deny conscience rights to religious affiliated hospitals and reduce reporting of sexual assault crimes.

The 21st Century Women’s Health Act would remove conscience requirements currently in place, requiring pharmacists and all hospital emergency rooms, including Catholic hospitals to offer the morning after pill known to have abortifacient qualities. The bill also advocates for OB/GYNs to offer women prescriptions for the morning after pill to be kept at home in the event they are sexually assaulted.

Women that have been sexually assaulted need the professional medical attention that cares for her physical and emotional needs as well as the professional documentation of evidence to prosecute the perpetrator.

The 21st Century Women’s Health Act should be renamed the “Planned Parenthood Abortion Expansion Act”!
