The pro-sodomy pressure group Stonewall has announced that it will drop the annual “Bigot of the Year”-award, which it used to confer on persons who with outstanding bravery defended the truth about sexuality and marriage in public. (Well, to say the truth, in 2012 the winner of the award was Cardinal Keith O’Brien of Edinburgh and St. Andrews, who shortly afterwards had to step down under allegations of sexual misconduct ….  of the kind  Stonewall is promoting. But that does not mean that his defence of Catholic doctrine had not been brave.)

Somehow the hate-speech strategy has backfired.
