Sweden teaches homosexuality in pre-school: will it be a leader?
While Sweden decided to lead the deconstruction of the sexes and to teach its pre-school children that sexuality is fluid, other European countries are showing resistance.
The Swedish Equality Ombudsman published a manual, for all Swedish pre-schools, stating that LGBT issues should be fully integrated in the curriculum, that all pre-schools should have gender-neutral bathrooms and that all pre-school children should learn about same-sex “families” and “parents”.
However, at the same time, in the same continent, other members of the same European Union – Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovakia, Latvia and, more recently, Romania – are more and more aligned on the other side of the battlefield.
These central and eastern European countries are, in various ways, resisting the gender ideology, defending the family, saving the lives of their babies.
For instance, in 2013, Croatia held a referendum, which resulted in the proclamation that a family can be formed only by a man and a woman. In 2015, a pro-family coalition of Slovenia won a similar referendum, rejecting the legalization of same-sex “marriage”. Most recently, a group of Romanian pro-family associations filed a proposition for the amendment of the national Constitution, aimed at clarifying the definition of family and at affirming parental rights. 3 million signatures were collected.
With reference to the gender ideology, Latvia’s Minister of Justice clearly expressed his contrariety to the ratification of the Istanbul Convention – a European Convention, which defines ‘gender’ in the sense of a social theory. In order to comply with this Convention, many European countries have been and are being pressured by the EU, on the basis of non-discrimination, to authorize same-sex marriages and homosexual adoptions (see Italy).
With the aim of protecting the unborn – and life – a Polish pro-life foundation and the legal institute Ordo Iuris presented a new bill that would make abortion illegal in all circumstances. A remarkable move in a continent with sub-replacement fertility rates, and where some nationalities are on the verge of extinction.
The United States are more likely to follow Sweden’s examples and lead, in the immediate future. But American people should know that there are good alternatives out there. Even in Europe.
