Voices Unbound: Fighting Censorship and Reclaiming the Public Square
Wednesday, March 12
2:10pm – 3:25pm
The Millennium Hilton
One UN Plaza
Manhattan Room, 2nd Floor
Introduction
For the past years, conservative voices have been cast aside, ridiculed, silenced, and caricatured as “anti-intellectual” on social media, college campuses, major institutions, and even at the United Nations.
In an era where social conservative speech is hastily labeled as “misinformation” and “disinformation”, this event will discuss the various ways in which the woke ideology managed to infiltrate and cast aside dissident voices in favor of uniformity of thought and speech and how that has negatively impacted the public square. The event will also address how Trump’s presidency could open up new possibilities to restore freedom of speech for conservatives.
The Conference on the State of Women and Family (CSWF) is a parallel conference to the United Nations Conference on the Status of Women (CSW). CSW is a highly progressive feminist conference that labels pro-life, pro-traditional family voices as “anti-rights.” The hope for CSWF is to platform voices that share the conservative perspective on cultural and social policy issues. CSWF is sponsored by United Families International in collaboration with the Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam), the Heritage Foundation, and Universal Peace Federation.
