Salacious Scouts: Make new sex partners and keep the old

3/24/10  (DAILY CALLER – Sharon Slater)  I am a reluctant witness against the Girl Scouts. I was a Girl Scout myself, and I know of many honorable women who have devoted years of service to this program. But leaders, parents, supporters and concerned citizens need to know that something has gone very wrong with the Girl Scouts.

On March 1, while I was participating in the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at the United Nations, I was asked to leave a closed-door, “girls only” meeting sponsored by the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA). As soon as the meeting ended, I entered the room, and from a stack on the back table, picked up a booklet, “Healthy, Happy, and Hot,” produced by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). The Girl Scout Sex Guide: Tasty cookies may carry moral price

   
3/18/10  (WASHINGTON TIMES – Austin Ruse)  Sharon Slater, a mother of seven, innocently walked into a panel sponsored by the Girl Scouts USA at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women a few weeks ago. Almost immediately she was asked to leave. All non-Scout adults were kicked out of the room, which was packed with adolescent girls.

Her curiosity piqued, Slater lingered by the door and when the panel ended she went immediately back inside to look around. What she found has shocked her and shocked Girl Scout moms around the country. Slater found a stack of brochures produced by Planned Parenthood called “Healthy, Happy and Hot” that among other things explained to the girls, “Some people have sex when they have been drinking or using drugs. Girl Scouts Ties with Planned Parenthood Extensive and Long-Standing

 

3/18/10  (NEW YORK – C-FAM)  The scandal surrounding the Girl Scout’s distribution of an International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) sex guide at the UN Beijing +15 Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) continues to grow. Some Scout mothers in St. Louis intend to ask the St. Louis Girl Scouts to pull out of the national organization. The Girl Scouts continue to deny they had any involvement in the distribution of the brochure and have offered various responses at different times. They claim they did not “hand out” the brochure, though they were never charged with handing it out. They claim they did not look in the trash or otherwise “sanitize the room” before they used it and say another group could have left it. Girl Scout Politics Less Than Sweet

 

3/12/10  (TOWNHALL.COM – Katherine Lopez)  I’ve seen more than a few boxes of Do-Si-Dos and Samoas around lately. It’s hard to look askance at the Girl Scouts when there’s so much sweetness in the air. But there is reason for keeping the Girl Scouts out of the “mom and apple pie” category. For one thing, the organization has a think tank, a nongovernmental organization and a welcome mat out to Planned Parenthood.

Girl Scouts Distribute Planned Parenthood Sex Guide at UN Meeting

 

3/12/10  (NEW YORK – C-FAM)  The World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides hosted a no-adults-welcome panel at the United Nations this week where Planned Parenthood was allowed to distribute a brochure entitled “Healthy, Happy and Hot.” The event was part of the annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) which concludes this week. The brochure, aimed at young people living with HIV, contains explicit and graphic details on sex, as well as the promotion of casual sex in many forms.  The brochure claims, “Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse… But, there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex. There is no right or wrong way to have sex. Just have fun, explore and be yourself!” The brochure goes on to encourage young people to “Improve your sex life by getting to know your own body. Play with yourself! Masturbation is a great way to find out more about your body and what you find sexually stimulating. Mix things up by using different kinds of touch from very soft to hard. Talk about or act out your fantasies. Talk dirty to them.”  Read More
