Outgoing recommendations:

  • Extend the scope of Act No. 21.030 to ensure access to abortion in accordance with human rights standards and World Health Organization guidelines (to Chile)

  • Harmonize legislation in line with the Supreme Court’s ruling across all states to ensure that everyone can access safe and legal abortion, regardless of place of residence (to Mexico)
  • Fully and effectively implement Organic Act No. 1/2023 on sexual and reproductive health and voluntary interruption of pregnancy in all regions, including by increasing the provision of services at the local level by regional authorities (to Spain)
  • Follow up and guarantee full implementation of its recent commitment to ensure access to abortion for women in Northern Ireland (to United Kingdom)
