Raising Awareness on Gestational Surrogacy Among Vulnerable Women in Developing Countries

This report is intended for development cooperation agencies, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations. It was prepared by Daniela Bandelli. Ph.D. as part of a research project funded by the European Commission (womoges.wordpress.com), in collaboration with the organizations Steadfast and C-Fam (Center for Family and Human Rights). The report proposes that—at a bare minimum—development initiatives should alert women to the physical and mental risks surrogacy poses and educate them about their rights and the rights of the child.
